What is in stored for us on Google Buzz? Rss Feed

Wondering what’s all the Buzz about? Well, Google launched a Social networking tool last week and named it Buzz. This is not just yet-another-social networking-and-messaging types tool. Google Buzz is different. While each social networking website concentrates on being individually separated from the others in the competition, Google Buzz tries to bring them all together. Buzz is not just web based, in fact it is web email based, i.e. Buss is integrated into Google’s Gmail and connects all your contacts on the mail server (well not all, only that you would like to add to your network on Buzz). Users can share messages, pictures, videos, links, documents, and comments with their network.

Buzz allows a user to share publicly what they post on their account with special permissions granted to people that the user would like to see. Currently Google has integrated other social networking websites such as Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, Twitter, Blogger, and Google Reader to its Buzz and thus anything updated or posted on any of the aforementioned sites would show up on your Buzz network. To give its competition a run for their money, Google has integrated popular features like the ability to “like” a post that Facebook is famous for. According to the co-founder and Google executive, Buzz would provide a bridge between work and leisure. Though there have been some privacy concerns about the Google’s social outing, Google has tried and is trying its best to keep the issues at bay.

Google Buzz would be available in mobile application versions for the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, Android, Windows mobile, and Symbian S60 series Smartphones. Unlike that a pool of thought that thinks that Buzz is aimed to push the likes of Facebook and LinkedIn off the social networking market, actually Google aims big and tries to compete with Microsoft SharePoint Server by integrating the social messaging system with an email client. In fact Buzz would do all that Facebook, LinkedIn, and SharePoint would do combined, and the limits are endless.

Love it or hate it (some even think it would not last long), Google Buzz can’t be overlooked as it is here to stay and make your lives and the social networking smoother. The instant collaboration with your contacts and external websites frees you off the hassles of going out and explicitly inviting, and sending requests to grow your network. The only challenge lies in getting people leave their social networks that they have found comfort in and get hooked on to Buzz. But seeing that almost everyone uses the Gmail system, it would be hard not to notice the little Buzz icon on the left navigation panel. Hit it, and you are hooked on to Google Buzz.
